Women in their place

I am by no means sexist, and I work with many women, and I love my wife, but there are som women, who do not know their place. If you and I were part of a team, we would all know our roles and responsibilities. I would not perform your work, and you would not perform mine, that would be unprofessional. So why would two women from a business unit side and an operations side, think that they know what is best for the sales side of an account?

All I asked of these people were to confirm the rates for the project and the scope of the work. I did not ask them to comment on the pricing or the plan of how we are to get paid. That was something for the VP of sales and the sales manager and I discuss. It was a sales issue. Getting paid on time over 3 months with a firm that we are trying to get more business from, means a lot to me.

The problem they have is that they do not go out and sell solutions. There is a reason, they are rough around the edges and have no couth for understanding how to sell. It is all black and white to them, and I could care less about them. I am the rep, I am in charge of the account and damn it, I am going to do it my way. Because I know best and because they are twits.

If I could, some days I would fire them and move on. I'd take their resignation and kick them to the curb. Some days my family does a piss poor job of identifying talent, but mistakes are bound to be made. I am not perfect either. Well mostly.
